Why alcohol makes you dizzy?
Have you ever had this feeling of dizziness after consuming alcohol? Well as a student, I never had any such experience...In today's post lets know the reason for it!
The culprit is in your ear! The vestibular system, in most mammals, is the sensory system that provides the leading contribution to the sense of balance.
The vestibular system is controlled by the inner ear....The inner ear is full of fluid and moves as you do. Little hairs then decode our body motion to give us a sense of movement.
But after drinking, this alcohol can diffuse from blood into this fluid, just like oil floats on water, alcohol being lighter flow on this fluid. This confuses the little hair and makes you dizzy.
Since your brain thinks you are moving, it sends this information to your eyes as well. So, this is the reason why it feels and looks like you are moving! Now you know whom to blame! Don't you?
Any ideas and suggestions will be appreciated!
