How did safety razors become so popular?

Razors are among the most popular products in this world. Ever since it's invention it went on to be popular....you will be astonished to know "How razors became so popular and who were involved in popularizing it".... let's explore it!

Men have been using razors for shaving since ancient time, but the invention of safety razors with disposable blades weren't known to this world until 20th century...

The great man behind it was King C Gillette. He was the one to realise that disposable blades that didn't need to be sharpened could be a useful invention.Gillette then realized that a profit could be made by selling an inexpensive razor with disposable blades.

So, he didn't stop right there. He devise the idea of a thin blade that could be thrown out after a few uses. He further realised the need to team up with William Nickerson, and in 1901, they formed a company named "American Safety Razor Company." 

The most intelligent part of them comes now. That is, during World War I, Gillette supplied the American troops with his Safety razor. The soldiers found them very convenient indeed. On returning home after the Allied victory, these soldiers popularised the use of safety razors throughout this world.

Ever thought of this.... isn't it astonishing to know that, so much story is involved even in simple things....Well, I'll surely astonish you with a lot more of them...
